Cosmic Hangboard

This hangboard was made from scrap plywood left over from experiments in painting, staining, and texturing timber. The aim was to explore how colour and surface treatment could add depth to a typically utilitarian material.

Repurposing these offcuts into a climbing tool gave new life to the layered textures—visible brushstrokes, colour shifts, and surface marks now embedded in a functional object. A compact example of how play, process, and reuse can shape design in unexpected ways.
